Established in 1958, Pou Chong is more than just a name — it's a legacy.

Founded by Lee Shih Chuan in the heart of Kolkata, Pou Chong began its journey with a simple mission: to bring authentic Chinese flavours to Indian kitchens. At a time when Asian cuisine was still unfamiliar to most, we proudly became one of India’s first Chinese sauce manufacturing companies, introducing flavours that would go on to become household staples.

We started with our signature Green Chilli Sauce, Red Chilli Sauce, and naturally brewed Dark Soy Sauce — and these remain the most loved products even today. Over time, our range has grown to include a variety of sauces, noodles, frozen momos, and more. 

For over six decades, Pou Chong has been the secret ingredient behind family dinners, school lunchboxes, street-side favourites, and restaurant classics. What began as a humble family tradition is now a cherished legacy — with customers who once grew up with Pou Chong now serving it to their own children.
